About
I am a quantitative-finance entrepreneur, former Chicago Mercantile Exchange member, securities-firm founder, Wall Street trader, and finance professor. I also founded a high-frequency trading business. For decades, I have helped businesses navigate growth, competition, regulation, and change.
Quantitative-finance entrepreneur building and advising businesses across finance, technology, regulation, and gaming.
My work centers on understanding how businesses make money, where they are vulnerable, and what creates durable advantage.
I have led teams, made decisions under pressure, navigated regulated markets, and turned strategy into execution.
I share what I have learned so others can make better decisions and see opportunities they may have overlooked.
My path has taken me through markets, finance, entrepreneurship, regulation, consulting, and now the frontiers of AI.
Different industries. Different challenges. The same focus: understanding how businesses work and helping people build something better.
The past gives you experience. It does not set the limits of what you can build next.
I grew up around real-estate development. My father was a developer, and I learned early that businesses are built through judgment, negotiation, persistence, and risk.
Began on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and held senior leadership roles in banking and securities globally. Founded and operated Caster Pollux Securities LLC, a FINRA-registered securities firm; Pina Street Associates, a hedge fund of funds; and Pomtech Research LLC, a high-frequency trading business. Together, those ventures span securities brokerage, institutional investing, and quantitative trading. Helped raise more than $2 billion for private-equity and hedge-fund managers.
Served four years at the Alderney Gambling Control Commission. Later founded Simply Alpha Capital, a global iGaming consultancy advising companies on licensing, structure, payments, marketing, growth, and transactions.
Today, I bring decades of experience in business, finance, technology, leadership, and regulation to help founders and teams navigate change and explore how AI is transforming what is possible.
I share lessons from building businesses, changing industries, leading teams, making mistakes, and starting again.
I write to help people understand the businesses they are building, the decisions they face, and the opportunities they may not yet see.
